Request for Proposal for Real Property issued April 2026

The Falmouth Retirement Board (“Board”) is seeking proposals from qualified property owners to purchase a parcel of land, with buildings thereon with associated parking, within the Town of Falmouth, to use for the administrative offices of the Falmouth Contributory Retirement System. The Board has determined that this purchase is subject to M.G.L. Chapter 30B and Commonwealth of Massachusetts Regulations 840 C.M.R. - Public Employee Retirement Administration Commission (“PERAC”). 

All respondents are hereby advised that any proposal selected shall be subject to: (1) formal approval by the Board in accordance with the specified evaluation criteria, including but not limited to, the best interests of the retirement system, (2) a written agreement, and (3) authorization of the engagement by PERAC. Additional terms of purchase to be reasonably negotiated. 

The R.F.P. will be available as of Wednesday, April 1, 2026.  Completed original, hard copies and electronic copies of the respondent’s R.F.P. response must be received no later than 2:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. Any proposals submitted after this time will not be accepted. At its discretion, the Board reserves the right to cancel or reject in whole or in part any and all proposals in the best interest of the retirement system.
